Officials with Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. resumed negotiations with United Steelworkers leaders Monday as the two sides work to find an agreement that would bring the Findlay plant’s 1,050 locked-out workers back on the job.

Pat Gallagher, a United Steelworkers union subdirector, said the two sides agreed Friday to put negotiations on hold over the weekend and go back to the table Monday. Also in on the Monday session was a federal mediator, something Mr. Gallagher said union officials requested and to which the company agreed.
