In January unemployment ratcheted back up to 7.9%, leaving over 22 million Americans are out of work. Yet at a February 6th Aspen Institute panel discussion, the topic was not too few job openings, but too many openings that companies cannot fill. The focus was on the perceived lack of skilled workers to fill the jobs that companies need done.
