UAW motives really about money

The UAW is making a sustained effort to organize the workers at the Nissan plant in Canton. The union organizers are being paid generous salaries to keep pressure on the local workers indefinitely.

Local workers should realize that the organizers will promise vast improvements if you will accept unionization. However, they cannot promise the one thing that is most important to you and your family: your job. Unions do not create or sustain jobs.

I worked for 35 years in a large manufacturing plant in Ohio. In 1960, we had over 12,000 union workers earning top wages and benefits. By 1980, after a series of costly strikes and outrageous union demands, the company began farming out the work in order to survive in a competitive world.
