NLRB orders HealthBridge Management to reinstate workers off job since July

New Haven Register

A federal panel Wednesday ordered HealthBridge Management of New Jersey to reinstate striking workers pending conclusion of a National Labor Relations Board case, a union spokesman said.

More than 600 HealthBridge caregivers statewide, including 110 at West River Health Care Center, 245 Orange Ave., have been off the job since July.

Those members of New England Health Care Employees Union District 1199, Service Employees International Union, are employed at five nursing centers in Connecticut.

“The injunction orders HealthBridge to reinstate striking workers to their previous positions to work under their original contract until a final decision is reached in the National Labor Relations Board case against the company,” the union said in a written statement.
