Passenger service agents for American Airlines will get the opportunity to vote on union representation after U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia denied a request by the bankrupt carrier to delay the vote.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that voting by the 9,700 agents is scheduled to begin on Dec. 4 and that the votes will be tallied on Jan. 15 by the National Mediation Board.
The agents are voting on whether they will join the Communications Workers of America.
